Insurance brokers

Motor Insurance

Most cars are easy to insure online — the ones that aren't are exactly where a broker helps. A modified vehicle, a young or previously-claimed driver, a car the direct market prices badly or declines: we place those across insurers who'll actually write them, at a fair price.

What motor insurance covers

Comprehensive cover

Your vehicle and damage to others' property from an accident, plus theft, fire and weather — the full cover, placed to suit the car and the drivers.

The risks the direct market prices badly

Modifications, high-value or imported vehicles, younger drivers, or a claims history that pushes online premiums up. We market them to insurers who write them properly.

A real claim, handled

Someone who knows your policy when you've had an accident, rather than a call centre and a customer number.

Cover, limits and examples shown are general in nature and subject to eligibility, underwriting and the terms of the issued policy.

Why use a broker for car insurance?
For the vehicles and drivers the direct market handles poorly — modified, high-value or imported cars, younger or previously-claimed drivers — a broker can place cover that's fair, or available at all. For a straightforward car it's your call; for anything unusual it's worth it.
Can you insure a modified or high-value car?
Yes — modifications and high values are exactly where online cover gets expensive or declines, and where a broker adds value by finding an insurer who understands the vehicle and agrees a proper value up front.
What if I've been declined or have a claims history?
That's a common reason to use a broker — a decline or a claims history from one insurer doesn't mean the whole market, and we can often place cover others wouldn't. We market the risk rather than accept the first no.
