Arborist & Tree Lopper Insurance

Tree work is high-consequence work — a dropped limb, a cut power line or a stump grinder throwing debris can all turn into a serious claim. We place arborist and tree-lopper cover across insurers that understand the risk, at the limits councils and commercial clients now ask for.

What arborists insurance covers

Public liability to $20m

Many councils and commercial sites no longer accept $10m for tree work. We arrange the limit your contracts name, with the height and felling work you actually do disclosed so a claim isn't knocked back.

Plant, chainsaws & chippers

Chippers, stump grinders, EWPs and saws are your income. Cover them against theft and damage on site and in transit, whether owned, financed or hired in.

Property & underground services

The claims that hurt are the ones you didn't plan for — a limb through a roof, a car crushed, a strike on underground power, gas or comms. We make sure that exposure is on the policy, not excluded.

Cover, limits and examples shown are general in nature and subject to eligibility, underwriting and the terms of the issued policy.

FAQ

Arborists insurance questions.

Speak with our team on 1300 080 323.

How much public liability do arborists need in Australia?
$20 million is now the common requirement for commercial and council tree work, and $10m is often no longer accepted. The right limit depends on your contracts, so we place cover to match what your clients name before you start.
Does tree lopping insurance cover felling and work near powerlines?
Only if it's disclosed and the insurer has agreed to it. High-risk work like felling, work at height and work near powerlines needs to be on the policy, or a claim can be declined. We make sure your actual scope is covered, not assumed.
Are my chainsaws and chipper covered away from the yard?
Under a tools and plant section, yes — on site and in transit, not just at your premises. We confirm the sums insured are enough to actually replace the gear, because underinsurance is where these claims come up short.
